Hoge Kempen National Park

Hoge Kempen National Park: nature in all its glory! The National Park in the Belgian province of Limburg is a unique nature reserve where more than 5700 ha of forest and heathland are managed and protected. The area stretches across the municipalities of Dilsen-Stokkem, Maasmechelen, Zutendaal, Lanaken, Genk and As.

Extensive pine forests alternate with purple flowering heathland, large ponds testify to gravel and sand extraction and high peaks offer great views. Moreover, numerous rare and special animals live in this natural setting.

Everyone is welcome to relax here as much or as little as they like by hiking, biking, ... or just revelling in all this beauty. Six entrance gates help you on your way.
